Terrence Masupa

Hi, I'm Terrence Masupa and I help with the Media and Layout for the Ferdie Post to be more involved in the school and to market the school to a younger audience. There are so much that events and special stuff that happen at the school that most people miss, I try to make sure that every single Ferdie is in the know.

Hassaanah Sooliman

With in a world of limits, writing has limitless possibilities ,in a world of strict routines, rules and regulations, writing lets you do anything you want, be anything you want. I believe writing is important because without it, we would be boring, dull people. Writing gives something its purpose, it’s able to describe things that cant be said.I write, because I couldn’t imagine the world without it

Unathi Matlala

I'm Unathi, you either know me or you know of me.

I like to goof around and make words rhyme,

but I can philosophise my deeper thoughts sometimes.

If you like what you read, then that satisfies the goal of mine.

joined the Ferdie Post out of curiosity and in hopes of improving my skills in writing and design by learning from others. I enjoy art and creating things, even if they suck at first.

Tasmiyah Hamid

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”~Aristotle , and to be frank, as a young ambitious teenage girl whose life has only just begun ,I don’t have a definite answer as to who I am. I perceive myself as a bibliophile and my guilty leisure, majority of the time is, being a librocubicularist (someone who loves to read books while laying on the bed). I enjoy the experimentation of baking, using 26 different ingredients and a few pans and creating a delicious masterpiece , it is my therapy and the overwhelming feeling of not burning a cake is truly an accomplishment. For me ,writing is similar to baking , forming many different masterpieces with just 26 different letters and a few pens ,I love the feeling of expressing myself through words , and the exhilarating feeling of knowing I can bring a smile to someone’s face with the power of words and a few puns.

Pearl Ndakana

I am Pearl Ndakana, an introverted extrovert, shy yet bold and funny yet serious. My aim in joining the Ferdie Post was to have platform to express myself and share my hidden talents and abilities with my fellow student community. It have given me freedom to show everyone who I truly am.

I’m Kwame Matlawe and I’m part of the Media and Layout section of the Ferdie post team !! I want to write for the Ferdie post to express my gratitude and views of the school from a Ferdie learners perspective while also entertaining the students and giving them written evidence of how amazing their school is and their place in it

As a person who has an over abundance of thoughts, writing has become one of my ways of understanding everything that goes through my mind each day. capturing and controlling these thoughts has turned into an art which I love using to express myself. being a part of the Ferdie Post team has given me the opportunity to show my love for creativity and writing to more than just my notes app. I can’t wait for you all to see what we have got in store for you this year in the Ferdie Post! I love to read books in my free time. Pre-Ferdies I always hated to write, about anything. I mean, I'm not the first person to feel that way, right? At Ferdies I was inspired to write. By joining the FerdiePost team I'm hoping that I can also inspire people into enjoying writing.

I write because writing allows me to take control of my thoughts and express myself. Its way of rewriting a story , and making it known to others. I write because it's a way for me to escape reality and create a world in which I'm the author.

I write becasue I love sharing my perspective of things I see and witness in every day life. Seeing how a sport event or a fun activity can turn into an extraordinary piece of art work on paper is something I love. I want people to be able to experience what happened from somebody else's eyes.

Kieran Louw

My name is Kieran Louw. Ever since my first compliment for amazing use of words and ability to express myself through writing, I fell in love with it. I chose the Ferdie Post as a source of writing to not only play my role in the school but also to give a personal perspective and bring my feelings to pen and paper. A learner's perspective and a "fresh," "hip" way of writing is something I feel should be brought to the Ferdie Post and I, along side an extraordinary group of writers led by Unathi, will hope to achieve this for the year 2025!

I am someone who is constantly surrounded by words, so it's difficult to not have a passion for it. I either read, write, or listen to music. Words are big part of our lives and something we don't really appreciate the beauty of. It's expression in it's most vibrant form. Writing is raw, unfiltered feeling. It has no limits. Life can be overwhelming and when I read I feel like some weight is lifted off. Feelings can be too much to handle, but when I write, I feel like the blurry picture starts to come into focus. 

Phenyo Mosenami

The reason why I am writing for the Ferdie Post is that, I have always found comfort in expressing myself through paper, and I am hoping I can touch the minds of those who also find beauty behind a cluster of words.

I am an expressive person who loves talking and having fun. I enjoy my own space but sharing is also kind of my thing. I am not entirely an extrover, neither am I entirely an introvert. Introextrovert maybe? I started writing for the Ferdie Post last year with no reason as to why I'd want to at all. I just did it for the recognition, but this year my perspective has changed. This is now about more than just getting recognition. It's about being part of a team that uplifts the school's name on many platforms. It's about doing something that makes me feel good and gives me a sense of belonging. Showing the school what I can do with just a pen and a paper, and this is why I joined the Ferdie Post.

Gomolemo Malepe

I love to write because it allows me to express myself in the way that I can't in my day to day life. It allows me to put my imagination to paper. I can be dramatic, as light or as dark as I want, even when the world would typically frown upon it in my day to day dealings.

I am a hardworking individual who is always eager for a new challenge.I have a passion for writing and public speaking. I enjoy writing for the Ferdie Post because it allows me to express my creativity through words and grow as an individual. "The pain you feel today , will be the strength you feel tomorrow" that's one of my life quotes that I live by.

I'm an energetic, funny and kind person. The reason why I joined the FerdiePost is because I enjoy writing and I want to share stories with people.

Although I’m not a strong writer and my work may not exceed the writers around me, my ability to have a creative way of thinking and bringing it to the paper is what would make me stand out. A different, more creative approach to writing is what still leaves a passion in my heart for the artform and I, along side my fellow writers hope to make 2024 FerdiePost something to remember.

I'm just an average grade 9 learner who loves writing stories,especially fantasy stories. I honestly believe that anyone can express themselves through writing any piece of work. Before I got to high school, I hated writing essays for marks in school, but after being in Ms. Smal's English class and writing essays on her unique topics I realized that I have a passion for writing. I do however lack motivation to write. I only do it if I'm asked to or if I have to do it, which is why I joined the Ferdie Post. To give me the motivation I need to pursue my passion.

I'm Roland Lubinda, I'm ambitious and goal oriented, I joined the FerdiePost because I've always enjoyed reading and writing and I wanted to put that to use.

I've joined the Ferdie Post with the hopes of connecting with people without requiring verbal expression. I often struggle to communicate with words, so I've turned to writing. Making stories is my passion, and through them, I can create entire worlds for my readers to immerse themselves in. I hope that my stories will not only entertain my readers but also help them understand themselves on a better level. Thank you.

My name is Claudwin Jones and I am an artist. This year I decided to swap illustrating and drawing for the creative writing side of things, I joined the FerdiePost for exactly that. I aim to support my school, challenge myself and continue to improve my communication and vocabulary.

If I were to describe myself and who I am , I’d say that I’m a simple young girl that’s exploring her gifts and trying to find her purpose in life. I strive for sports and any other outdoor activities that get my adrenaline pumping. In my spare time, I go out with friends but most of the time I’m at home in my room sleeping or reading my bible and working on my spiritual growth. The reason why I joined the Ferdie Post team was because I wanted to try something new. My whole life, all I’ve really done is play sports and never really thought of or even considered delving into culture. Pursuing culture is by far one of the riskiest steps I’ve ever taken in my life. It is far from my comfort zone and requires many things that I myself wouldn’t normally do, but life has taught me that the most beautiful things are found when you walk in the paths of your fears. Being on the Ferdie Post seems very scary and intimidating at the moment, but I know that eventually, it will get better. And whether this journey goes well or poorly, it will still be an experience to remember for a lifetime.

Ek is iemand wat daarvan hou om elke dag iets nuuts te probeer en om iets nuuts te leer. Ek hou daarvan om my kreatiwiteit in verskeie aktiwiteite en take uit te beeld .Ek is baie lief vir skryf en foto's neem en geniet dit om my talent met mense te deel! Ek is baie opgewonde en dankbaar om deel te wees van die Ferdie Media en kan nie wag vir al die opwindende gebeurtenisse nie!
