The lights dimmed, the crowd hushed and Ferdies’ stage came alive as The Culture Vultures Drama Club proudly presented Home to Roost. The production, turned the school hall into a world of secrets, sharp wit and surprising twists that had the audience hooked from the first line.
Filled with humour, tension and a touch of mystery, Home to Roost proved that the juniors know how to deliver a professional performance. From dramatic confrontations to perfectly timed comedic moments, every scene drew cheers and laughter from the crowd. The play’s famous line, “Oh, ‘snake in the grass’ is too good for him!” became a school favourite by the end of the night.
The atmosphere was electric — applause echoed through the hall; parents, teachers and students all left impressed by the talent on display, reminding us of how much talent there is in our school. The juniors once again reminded everyone why Ferdinand Postma’s drama department continues to soar to new heights.
With culture weeks’ plays now officially wrapped, one thing’s for sure: the audience can’t wait to see what this talented troupe of young people will bring to the stage next!
