As you all know Easter is the period of the year where everyone gets together with their families all in the spirit of gratitude, togetherness and celebration. We share some praise and worship with each other, be it at church or even at home. Some people don't have that luxury but every event can be made special to anyone with just the right people with the right intentions. As the Interact family, we were excited to bring some joy and cheer to the elderly as we visited them at the old age home. What was even more heart soothing were the smiles on their faces when we gave them some Easter eggs. The staff who were on duty were also super nice and so happy to see us. There is definitely nothing more heart warming than seeing someone smile because of your small deed. The handshakes, the small chit chats and the hugs to show how thankful they were was definitely the cherry on top of the lovely experience. As we were about to leave, one of the residents asked to pray for us, the most beautiful prayer ever. That's when we knew that our visit was a resounding success. We left feeling fulfilled and happy and as we walked back to school we couldn't stop talking about the wonderful time we had and how we couldn't wait to go back and visit again.
