What a night! Ferdies changed the whole script by hosting our very first Open Night and we definitely cooked! The lights made our art displays stand out and made our sports field look awesome.

The art students displayed their creative works, transforming the hall into a gallery with paintings and drawings that showed off their talents.

The Grade 7s were so excited when they saw the amazing elephant toothpaste experiments by the Seth station, or even trying to outsmart our chess players. And the amount of sweets they had definitely got them into a sugar rush.

Our hockey, rugby and netball teams showed off their skills by challenging the Grade 7s in mini games. And those grade 7s knew that they weren’t going easy on them! We were even honoured to have Bradley Nkoana, a South African Olympic sprinter, who came by to our open night to share some inspiring words and maybe flexing on how fast he is.

A great moment came when all our teachers were introduced in the Paris walk ceremony. Each educator took their turn on stage, sharing their role at Ferdies and their passion for teaching.

The delicious food was the best part of the night, the Snoepie was filled with parents talking happily with the teachers and the good music that was played gave such a great vibe throughout the event.

It was a night to remember. And we get to do this again next year. And for those who missed out, you'll definitely not want to next year.
