Today we say goodbye to a truly remarkable woman, Mrs Wika, as she moves on to new adventures beyond our school walls. While it is hard to see her go, we are filled with gratitude for all the memories and lessons she has left with us.

Mrs Wika has been more than just a maths teacher, she has been a guide, a mentor, and an inspiration to the Ferdie family.
Mrs Wika has been a vital part of our school community not only as a dedicated teacher, especially to our Grade 12s, but also as an energetic and passionate netball coach. In the classroom her patience and explanation of the most difficult problems, her encouragement when we felt discouraged and her belief in our abilities have made all the difference.
She taught us that mathematics is not just about numbers and formulas, but about thinking critically, solving problems and believing that every challenge has a solution if we work hard enough.
Beyond the classroom, she has taught us resilience, precision and the importance of never giving up. She guided our senior students through some of their most important years with wisdom, patience and unwavering support. Her ability to challenge her students while always believing in their potential made her a favourite among the learners.

Beyond academics, Mrs Wika made a lasting impact on the sports field. As the netball coach, she inspired teamwork, discipline and a fighting spirit in all her players. She celebrated every win with pride and taught resilience through every loss, showing that true success is measured not just by scores, but by growth and character.
Although it is difficult to imagine our school without her, we know her influence will continue to be felt in the hallways, classrooms and hearts of those she has touched. We wish Mrs Wika all the success and happiness as she begins this next exciting chapter. Our doors will always be open to her, and she will forever be a treasured part of our Ferdie family.
Thank you, Mrs. Wika, for everything. You will be deeply missed.
