Hockey at Camp Discovery: A Weekend of Growth and Competition

The Girls and Boys First Team Hockey squads attended an intensive training camp at Camp Discovery outside Gauteng, where they showcased their skills, built teamwork and competed in several challenging matches. The camp provided an excellent opportunity for players to develop their game under high-pressure situations while bonding as a team.

Both squads demonstrated impressive skill, determination and tactical growth throughout the camp. Each match was a chance to apply their training, adapt to different playing styles, and refine their strategies.
Girls Team Highlights:
The girls showed incredible resilience and teamwork, with great performances in both attack and defense. Their ability to communicate on the field and execute plays under pressure was exceptional.
Boys Team Highlights:
The boys displayed excellent coordination and tactical awareness, with strong performances in possession play and defensive structure. Their adaptability and composure in challenging situations were particularly impressive.
Beyond the matches, players participated in:
- Skill development drills (focusing on passing, shooting and defensive strategies).
- Team-building activities to strengthen teamwork.
- A wild safari drive around around the camp.
Looking Ahead:
