The Grade 8 concert was a joyful and energetic event that warmly welcomed the Grade 8s as well as their parents to the school community. During the performance, the Grade 8 learners danced enthusiastically for their parents, showing confidence and excitement. Their lively energy filled the pavilion as they proudly sang the school war cries together as well as the school song.
This welcome performance clearly showed how excited the learners are to be part of Ferdies. Rather than feeling shy or nervous, the Grade 8s appeared elated and proud to take their place in the school. Their enthusiasm and team spirit impressed both parents and teachers.
After the concert, parents, teachers, and learners gathered for a braai. This relaxed and friendly atmosphere gave parents the opportunity to meet and get to know their children’s teachers better. Conversations flowed easily as everyone enjoyed the food and spent time together, helping to build strong relationships between families and the school.
The concert was a wonderful way for the new learners to celebrate the beginning of their high school journey. It proved that the Grade 8s are ready for high school and eager to participate in school traditions and activities. Their spirited performance set a positive tone for the year ahead.
